Traditionally certain parties pay for certain expenses that become incurred with a wedding. It is often a confusing process while we are deciding who pays which expense. With a handy list, it no longer has to be confusing.
Keep in mind that these are the traditional values and you may choose to split the costs because each situation is unique.
Although traditional expenses covered by each party may be interchanged. Nowadays it may seem that the bride and the groom split expenses between the family and the couple. Often the new couple, as well as both sets of parents contributes funds towards the wedding. Couples are also getting married older, and may choose to fund the wedding alone as a symbol of their independence.
